T+MX and DBR go to NEC BIKE SHOW
Wed, 14 Oct 2009
The NEC Motorcycle and Scooter Show will be welcoming specialist off road publications Trials and Motocross News and Dirt Bike Rider as media attendees to this year’s Show in a move to both promote the sport to a whole new audience and further underline the Show’s billing as the leading event for all off road biking.
The inclusion of Trials and Motocross News (T+MX) and Dirt Bike Rider (DBR) represents a natural progression for the Show which will be opening the doors to its new dedicated Off Road Zone to the public on Friday 27 November at the NEC in Birmingham. Both T+MX and DBR will develop promotional content across print and online to drive awareness of the new Off Road Zone in addition to having a lead presence within the Show’s new Off Road Experience.
A mecca for off road enthusiasts and newcomers alike, the Off Road Zone will feature the best the off road industry has to offer, including interactive features such as the Off Road Experience and displays from all the leading manufacturer’s latest off road bikes and accessories. Underlining the Show’s new off road pedigree will be the opening two rounds of the Future West ACU British Supercross Championship which take place on the evenings of Saturday 28th November and Saturday 5th December with daytime displays taking place throughout the open period of the 10 day Show.
Visitors to the Show tend to be motorcycle fans and many own their own road bikes. For cheap motorbike insurance speak with CIA Insurance.
Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, said; “This announcement marks an extremely positive day for off road motorcycling and the new Off Road Zone. With the support of T+MX & DBR, the Show is now best placed to support off road sport, drive thousands of potential new customers to off road businesses and of course positively promote the sport to well over 100,000 visitors. Added to that, visitors from the age of 6 can actually try the sport within the Show. The Off Road Zone is now quite clearly THE place to be when thinking about getting in to or indeed just trying off road riding”.
Debs Stuchbury, Advertisement Director, T+MX & DBR, added; "I am delighted to be attending the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the NEC in the exciting new Off Road Zone with our sector-leading publications Trials and Motocross News and Dirt Bike Rider. Off road is a vibrant part of the motorcycling scene and it is excellent news that the MCI has incorporated our sport into Britain's biggest and most prestigious motorcycle show”.
