Doble Motorcycles Open Day
Fri, 19 Feb 2010
The Dobles Open Day, supported by CIA Insurance, took place last week and it was a great platform for the launch of two new Honda motorbikes.
Despite the cold and snowy conditions, plenty of enthusiasts turned up and created a fantastic atmosphere to welcome the new and highly anticipated Honda VFR 1200 and Honda VT 1300 CX Fury.
Daring, stylish and visually appealing, the Fury drew a great deal of interest from visitors and press alike but the Honda VFR 1200 took centre stage. It is one of this season’s most hyped bikes that promises plenty, with the Japanese giant claiming it to be its next flagship model, and the crowd loved it. It certainly made a grand entrance: the VFR was elevated by a crane 30ft in the air, atmospherically accompanied by smoke, lights, music, and grid girls.
The first day was action-packed with all the test rides going ahead as planned despite the odd snow shower. With Valentines Day looming Dobles ran a competition to win a romantic weekend in Paris and CIA Insurance, proud supporters of the Dobles Open Day, offered lucky visitors the chance to win a year’s free
motorcycle insurance. Visitors also received CIA Insurance pens and Love Heart sweets!
Valentines Day got hearts a-racing and the heavy snow just added to the air of excitement. Even though some of the test rides were cancelled, Dobles staff and visitors made the most of the day – helped in no small part by the presence of gorgeous CIA Insurance girls Dom and Laura. The pair certainly made a cold day much warmer ….!
