Sun shines on Suzuki Insurance track day

SUZUKI MOTORCYCLE INSURANCE celebrated the start of the 2010 bike season with an exclusive track day organised in collaboration with CIA Insurance and Focused Events for authorised Suzuki dealers at Mallory Park in the Midlands on Thursday 4th March.
Many of the leading Suzuki dealerships from all four corners of England, Scotland and Wales joined Suzuki Insurance at Mallory Park, which was bathed in sunshine for the whole day.
Triple British Superbike Champion and Suzuki Racing Director John Reynolds attended the event and spent much of the day on track with the Focused Events instructors showing riders lines, giving advice and enjoying the thrills of his GSX-R1000.
Other top brass from Suzuki GB attended and took part in the track action, enjoying the opportunity to ride on circuit for the first time in 2010. They were joined by British 125cc racer James Jon Lodge who showed a great turn of speed and a number of other club-racing level riders.
The day was designed to introduce Suzuki Motorcycle/CIA Insurance to the Suzuki dealer network in a relaxed, friendly and motorcycle environment and was heralded a major success by CIA Insurance’s Eliot Blundell. He said: “Thank you to all of the dealers that attended the track day, we had 81 on circuit on the 4th March which is incredible.
“The weather undoubtedly helped and I think everyone enjoyed a very safe and well organised event. Even the Mallory Park catering facilities were excellent and judging by the numbers that stayed right to the end everyone enjoyed getting on their bikes.
“There was a serious side to the day in terms of getting to know Suzuki dealers better and them getting to know us. In all areas the
feedback was positive and appreciative. We know we are doing the right things and are working with the dealers as a business partner to help improve their commercials. We look forward to working with all of our guests along with the dealers that couldn’t make it as well in the near future and delivering all of their insurance needs. Suzuki Insurance has shown it has a different, personal and proactive approach to motorcycling and insurance and will be looking at more events of this type in the future.”
